DTC Family

Dear Family of Denver Tamil Church!

Greeting in the abundant name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

“Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes, we are healed.” (Isaiah 53; 4,5).

It is the time to observe Good Friday and Easter, to meditate on the sufferings, agony, death, and Resurrection of Jesus in these days. It will help us understand the meaning and value of Christian lives. God has carried our pain and sorrows on the cross. Most of the people are living with pain. There is physical, mental (emotional), and spiritual pain. In the Bible Job has undergone these pains: he lost his cattle and livelihoods. He lost his children; it was a great loss for him. He walked through the valley of death. Physically he suffered from various diseases. He lost his health and sleep, day and night groaning with pain. Emotionally his wife scolded him. His friends were criticizing him for his sufferings. No one consoled him. Spiritually he asked many questions about why these things happened in his life.

We may go through various struggles, sufferings, and pain. However, God has taken away all the pain and suffering from our lives. Though Job went through physical, mental, and spiritual sufferings, he expressed the hope that “My Redeemer lives” (Job19:25). Our Redeemer has redeemed us from our physical and emotional struggles. He gives peace to our lives and in our families. Whatever disease may afflict us, by his stripes we are healed. God is our healer.

Jesus has saved us from sin, suffering, and death. He has given us eternal life. I hope that this Resurrection day will provide the resurrected power of Jesus in our lives. In whatever situation we may go through, our Redeemer is with us; he will provide peaceful and joyful, and blessed life to us.

I am praying to God for your blessings and God’s Providence.

God bless you.

                                    Pastor. David Kennedy
